Accreditation

GENESIS Total Healthcare is accredited by Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP), the leading accrediting organization for the home health industry, for voluntarily meeting the industry’s highest nationally recognized standards of care. The rigorous accreditation process involves a thorough examination of the business and service aspects of the entire GENESIS Total Healthcare organization including office and patient visits in order to evaluate service quality, structural strength, organizational effectiveness, and human and financial resources.

We Are a CHAP Accredited Heathcare

CHAP collaborates with home and community-based health care providers who need an accreditation partner that understands what their day-to-day is like. We know more about community-based health care accreditation than anyone in the industry. It’s all we do.

CHAP is an organization on a mission to lead and to serve the field of home and community-based health care accreditation. Our standards lead to better quality care. We integrate them into your business so you can focus on providing the best care to the patients and families you serve. CHAP sets the bar for community health accreditation. We anticipate and respond to what’s next in health care, including new and emerging models of care, regulations and mandates.

Standards of Excellence

The CHAP Standards of Excellence are designed to help you deliver the best care and services possible. To support organizational excellence, we have developed standards that are easy to understand, relevant and practical.

Through the application of these standards, CHAP strives to help our customers:

  • Strengthen internal operations
  • Promote continuous quality improvement techniques and systems
  • Promote consumer safety, satisfaction and outcomes
  • Affirm public trust
  • Meet community health needs in a cost-efficient and effective manner
  • Maintain the viability of community health practice nationwide

The Standards of Excellence are built on four underlying principles:

  1. The organization’s structure and function consistently supports its consumer-oriented mission.
  2. The organization consistently provides high-quality services and products.
  3. The organization has adequate human, financial and physical resources to accomplish its stated mission and purpose.
  4. The organization is positioned for long-term viability.

We continually review the Standards of Excellence to ensure they remain relevant for home and community-based health care providers.

We have a rigorous revision process that includes ongoing assessment and feedback, working with industry experts and key stakeholders to ensure alignment with national quality efforts, field-testing and public comment.

Working together to bring the highest quality care home

At GENESIS we believe our patients and their families deserve home health care provided with the highest professional, ethical, and safety standards. This belief guides how we hire, support, and develop our health care professionals and it is demonstrated in the expert, compassionate care they provide.

Ongoing Supervision and Evaluation

All GENESIS Total Healthcare clinicians are supervised by a registered nurse (RN) clinical manager. The RN clinical manager makes regular home visits to ensure clients are receiving the highest quality care. Additionally, we reassess each care team member’s skills on a regular basis.

A Client and Family-Centered Team Approach

Our clinicians partner with patients and their families in providing care. We communicate regularly with patients, family caregivers, physicians, and the entire care team.

Unmatched Education and Training

GENESIS Total Healthcare is diligent in our commitment to providing education and training to our home health care professionals. Through preceptor education programs, mentoring, hands-on lab work, in-service programs, our caregivers continue to expand and improve the clinical skills they bring to their patients.
